Last day on a new Coloring Book from Justin Hillgrove
over 8 years ago – Mon, Nov 13, 2017 at 10:29:38 PM

Just a heads up that Justin Hillgrove’s “Jabberwocky" coloring book is now on Kickstarter for a very short campaign (ending Monday November 13th @10PM PST) and It is already fully funded with some stretch goals if you’d like to get in on it. The books are being printed locally and the artwork and files are already complete, so turnaround will be quick and they will arrive by early December – hopefully in plenty of time for Christmas (US Delivery).

“Jabberwocky” has been my favorite poem of all time ever since I was introduced to it in middle school. I can’t remember if I memorized it as part of an assignment or just for fun, but I do remember thinking after reading it a few times that maybe poetry was kind of cool after all. It was written by Lewis Carroll around 1871 and included in “Alice Through The Looking-Glass And What Alice Found There.” In the story, Alice travels through a looking-glass where she meets all kinds of interesting characters. She finds the poem “Jabberwocky” in a book, but can’t read it until she holds it up to a mirror. After reading the poem she says “It seems very pretty…but it’s rather hard to understand! …Somebody killed something: that’s clear, at any rate.”

In October, I decided to post consecutive ink drawings of “Jabberwocky” via social media, breaking up the poem and presenting it in storybook-like fashion. Being a fan of coloring in general, I thought this would make a great coloring book. So here we are…

Thanks for checking out the project and sharing!

Tyler Sigman's Crows, ending soon on Kickstarter
over 8 years ago – Tue, Oct 24, 2017 at 11:59:39 AM

Hey all,

We are on the final days of the campaign for our next game Tyler Sigman's Crows. We're excited to bring this game out to the community, it's a great family friendly tile-placement strategy game created by the designer of Darkest Dungeon (PC/Steam/PS4).

Click the Image here to be brought to the campaign page:

Besides having awesome art from Justin Hillgrove and Crow Meeples, its important to note that the easy-to-learn rules make this very accessible for a range of gamers.

I hope you decide to become a backer on our latest project, the Deluxe edition that we are offering will not be available at retail. We've unlocked a lot of Stretch Goals already, so there is a bunch of free content as well. =)

A Decision of Quality
almost 10 years ago – Thu, Jun 30, 2016 at 08:55:39 PM

Hey all,

Please read this update fully as it has both bad news and good news:

After unpacking everything and getting it ready for shipping, we started into it with a makeshift assembly line and getting ready to go.

The Bad News:

......Then we noticed this:

It might be hard to see but what notice the faint black line across the right side's inner white boarder:  That is the ribbon's ink bleeding onto the page.  Every one of our ribboned copies are like this.  On a quality level this is of course unacceptable and we would never ship these out to backers.

This is especially hurtful when you consider that Justin has already drawn sketches about 30 of the inside covers of the ribboned copies for those backers that pledged at the $90 level, and those sketches take him some time to create.

The Good News:

With the order of ribboned copies we ordered a few pallets of non-ribboned books as well, and they are perfect.  We are hand-verifying the quality and filtering out copies that don't hit our standards.  We will be taking the Kickstarter Dust Covers (carefully), removing them from the ribboned copies and placing them on these other non-ribboned copies.

So what does this mean for our Backers?

It means that the ribbon that was on our first stretch goal won't be part of what you will be receiving.  We sorry about this and we hope you understand the reason for this decision.

It also means time.  We don't want to order new ribboned copies from this company because it would take months for us to get these into everyone's hands.  So we aren't doing that.  This decision to essentially skip the ribbon as a Stretch Goal item will prevent that.  But we did lose about a day in fixing this so that may delay all the shipping a couple of days.

It also means that the backers at the $90 level may need to wait a little bit longer to give Justin time to sketch a quality drawing into every book.  We don't have an estimate on it, but it shouldn't be more than another week.

We hope you understand and can forgive us for cutting out this item, but I'm sure you will agree that quality is important with such a great art book.  Thank you for all your support and we are looking forward to your feedback when you get these books in hand!

The Artbooks are in hand....and soon to be in YOUR hands!
almost 10 years ago – Tue, Jun 28, 2016 at 11:28:06 PM

Hey all,

The art books were delivered to the warehouse and we grabbed a few to bring home so we could take some cool pics for you guys:

Ok, so those first two pics aren't the most exciting.... but that last one.... (!!)

So.... Shipping then???

Yep, we will be shipping the books along with all the KS exclusives and Add-ons over the next two weeks.  We expect the bulk of everything to be done by the end of this week but some of it may pour into next week depending on how long this process will take a couple of dudes and some helpful kids to get packed and sent out.

As always, if you have any questions, let us know!  Thank you so much for your support.  =)
